Aromatherapy Treatments

What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is a natural healing therapy, which uses the nature-based properties of essential oils to assist the body in its own natural healing process. The essential oils used are obtained from plants, flowers and trees.

The Benefits of Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy massage is widely known to:

  • Increase circulation allowing the body to pump more oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs;
  • Stimulate the flow of lymph fluid, the body’s natural defence system;
  • Increase circulation of blood and lymph fluids which helps improve your skin;
  • Relaxes and softens overused and injured muscles;
  • Releases endorphin, the body’s natural painkiller.

Generally it helps rebalance your body and it is deeply relaxing. With the use of the appropriate essential oils aromatherapy can rejuvenate your whole body and mind.

What to expect

Aromatherapy is a holistic therapy. At your first appointment we will:

  • discuss your medical and lifestyle details to ensure there are no contra indicators (which would stop you from being able to receive treatment);
  • establish if there are any skin sensitivities or allergies;
  • ensure the treatment is specifically tailored to meet your needs using the most appropriate essential oils.
  • Extra time should be allowed for this initial consultation. At the beginning of each subsequent sessions we will check your current state of health.

You will then be required to remove any jewellery, hair clips or bobbles. You will be left alone in the treatment room so you may remove your clothing except your undergarments. The treatment is performed on a massage bed. Your privacy is of upmost importance and will be preserved at all times. Then it will be time to relax and enjoy the benefits of a wonderful therapeutic massage.

As with any holistic treatment, their maybe what is called “a healing reaction”, which can manifest itself as a mild headache, feeling emotional, feeling sluggish, increased frequency of urination, post treatment. However, these should be viewed positively as it means the treatment has “got things moving”, for example the release of toxins held in tense/tight muscles, into the lymphatic system, and these are now being eliminated from your body.

Treatment and Prices

There are a variety of different aromatherapy treatments varying in price to suit individual needs.

  • £70 for 75 minutes full body massage (including facial)
  • £50 for 60 minutes full body massage (without facial)
  • £50 for 45 minutes luxury aromatherapy facial

There are also combination treatments available which offer a discount on the full price of each individual treatment. For example:

  • back, shoulder, neck massage with full facial,
  • combined massage and reflexology session

The Aromatherapy treatment I found most helpful in my trying to relax and destress. The oils were perfect even though apprehensive of smells. Debbie was really informative and found out all of my needs and background resulting in me feeling 100% relaxed and refreshed!! Can’t wait to come back!! Thank you so much!.
