Online self-care Meditation, Mindfulness and Self-compassion course

About Course

Do you struggle to get the time to attend meditation classes?  Do you always beat yourself up and talk negatively to yourself when you don’t meet your own high standards?  We are living in a very face paced world, with lots of demands on our time.  With this in mind I have developed online self-care courses that help you find some “me time” to help relieve stress/tension and allow your body and mind to relax a little more.

This online self-care course is aimed at anyone wanting to learn about how we can naturally help ourselves cope with the day to stress in our lives, and some symptoms that may present with, by explaining how mindfulness and meditation can help combat stress.

Most of us seem to be busier than ever with little time to switch off, or to get to a therapist face to face. This course will provide you with simple mediation and mindfulness strategies to equip you will some self-help tools to help you calm your nervous system, which enable you to deal with stress and many challenges that can present us with both physically and emotionally.  You can use them at any time to suit you, in the comfort of your own home.

This course includes information about what self-care is all about, and how it can help you, why it is so important for our well-being.   How it is not an “indulgence” or “selfish” to spend time on looking after our well-being.  It puts the science behind why, when we are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, that our body reacts in a certain way. You will then be given some basic techniques and tools to help you assess your own body, how it is feeling and reacting, and then some tools and techniques you can use to calm your body and how your respond to the stresses of modern day life, including stress relief and how to switch off using meditation, as well as other mindful techniques.

The course also gives an introduction to self-compassion.  Again, this is not a self-indulgent “it’s all about me” approach, but an introduction and exploration of how we talk to ourselves, and how being our own worst critic (that little internal nagging voice telling you off) is not always good for our well-being, and in some times our mental health.  The course introduces you to some ways of exploring this more, looking at yourself, or maybe looking at situations you have been in, and if they caused you stress, or you felt you did not handle things as well as you could, how can you manage that stress more effectively using self-compassion.  How you talk to yourself about situations, so you do berate yourself, and do not linger too long on all the negatives. There are also couple of short meditations you can access/download to help you give yourself some self-compassion.

Using meditation, mindfulness and self-compassion techniques can really help you calm your mind and body, and release a lot of the day to day tensions that we are having to deal with in this fast passed modern world.
